This 3* hotel of holiday 1989 is still one of the best locations offering ski terrain suitable for all levels and with tree line protection from sun and wind.
The massive ski area has plenty of easy runs and more challenging runs for the intermediate/ expert skier. The ski area is behind the hotels opposite to our hotel less than 30 meters.

Clubhotel Morgan

New for this season, the ClubHotel Le Morgan in Risoul offers a fantastic location in the heart of the resort. A one minute walk through the commercial centre opposite the hotel takes you directly to the bottom of the ski slopes and ski school meeting point. The hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere, great facilities and is the perfect choice for a group holiday.
There is a small selection of restaurants and bars right on the main street, near the hotel.

This ClubHotel offers great, friendly service. There is a small terrace at the front of the hotel so you can catch some sun after a morning skiing. There is a small games room in the hotel, with a pool table and arcade games, which is great for kids as it’s completely separate from the downstairs bar. The tourist office is right by the hotel.
All of the 33 hotel bedrooms are comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, with plenty of storage space and several benefit from under-floor heating. The quad rooms consist of bunk-beds in the entrance hall and twin beds or a double in the main sleeping area, separated by a door. There are also twins and triples available. All rooms have separate toilet and bathroom and all benefit from hip bath and shower.

Resort Overview

Risoul ski resort, links with Vars to form the 'Domaine de la Foret Blanche', one of the largest ski areas in the Southern Alpes. It offers an endless variety of skiing over 180kms of marked piste. Even the most experienced skiers will be happy. The village itself is pretty and compact - everything is within walking distance so you will never have far to go.
On The Slopes
Risoul benefits from a well linked lift system. All the slopes return back to a central point in Risoul village where you will find a selection of restaurants and cafes – perfect for a lunch break in between ski runs. The ski school also meets here. The link between Vars and Risoul can be skied over on all blues and greens, ideal for intermediate skiers. The views are breathtaking, well worth the trip across.
Beginners in Risoul are well catered for, with lots of confidence building wide sunny nursery slopes that are set just aside from the main pistes near the village central point. There are lots of easy blues, so beginners will be able to progress quickly and confidently with a good choice of slopes. With cruising runs and pretty, tree-lined runs back to the village and extremely scenic snow bowls above Risoul, you'll be in skiing heaven!

For the more daring skiers, there are various challenging black runs. You will find the hardest pistes on the Vars side of the Crete des Chabrieres. Risoul has many great off-piste opportunities to keep you busy. These can be found amongst the lower wooded areas and the higher snow bowls.

Snowboarding
Risoul ski resort has lots to offer for snowboard enthusiasts. Under the De Cezier chair is “Surfland” which has a boardercross run, rails, quarters and an array of different sized kickers and a 100m long pipe. There is endless variety and enough to keep even the keenest of snowboarders pushed to the max.

Off The Slopes
Although Risoul is purpose built, it is an attractive village with a woodland settings and a genuine French atmosphere. There are a variety of shops, cafes and bars, and with great sunshine, a good snow record and a long season this is a fantastic choice of resort. There is a spa and health complex 10 mins walk away. Risoul is about 45minutes from Briançon which is a lively, pretty resort, well worth a visit.
